Changing the way people think about cameos forever! Carved by an exclusive group of highly skilled Wounaan Indian artisans from Panama's Darien Province, our Rainforest Design® cameos are unique, inspired by the flora and fauna of the Tropical Rain Forest. These exquisite cameos are sculpted from the Queen’s Helmet shell found in the waters of the Caribbean and the most valued of shells by traditional Italian carvers for this purpose.Set in 18kt gold with or without semi-precious and precious stones, each piece is numbered, signed by the carver, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity as to being 100% Handmade in Panama.Helen Serras-Herman,master cameo carver and expert in the field, comments:“These cameos are absolutely beautiful.Fine detail, well finished, carved in stunningly high relief; the subject themes are beautiful, too. They are very unique in the market”. L. Buccellati of the Mario Buccellati stores in Italy, as well as the American designer David Yurman, have praised Rainforest Design® Cameos.
